Obviously McCain is being gimicky again inasmuch as he is hoping to get more of the women's vote with a woman on this ticket. I was wondering if McCain was also trying to get the pro drug vote with the Sarah Palin nomination. Then I just saw a response he is making to those who are asking him about Palin's pot party image. He responded that he would, as President, support independent state regulation of marijuana!
Independent state regulation of marijuana means that under McCain the federal law would decriminalize marijuana, right?

MARIJAUNA MOMMA SEIZES VICE PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION, SOMEHOW
Sarah Palin is a pot smoking momma of five, or at least she used to be.
Now that she's a politician, the last couple of years she says she is agin it. Yeah, Sarah, pass the bud!
More seriously, I think all four candidates of the ruling parties, McCain, Obama, Palin and that oh so forgettable Senator should get together in Alaska and pass some domestic jays around. They they can talk while their subsequent interaction is televised. It wouldn't be a debate or anything. It would be a bipartisan pot party. It would be interesting to see which statements are better, these informal ones or the ones you generally hear in the media.
